Hello.
You've been directed to this web page because somebody has noticed that you don't seem to know the difference between your and you're.
You posted a comment somewhere on the web and used the word your when you should have used you're, or vice versa.
You may not realize it, but the comment made you look like an idiot.
There's a very good chance that the comment you posted was "your gay", which made you look like an idiot AND a homophobe.
Please read on, and never embarrass yourself in public again.
YOU'RE is an abbreviated form of YOU ARE. The punctuation mark between the U and the R is called an apostrophe, and is used to indicate that one or more letters, in this case the letter A, have been removed for brevity.
Example: "You're a fucking idiot."
YOUR, on the other hand, is a weak possessive pronoun. You use it to indicate that something belongs to somebody.
Example: "I've fucked your mother."
Your mother. The mother belonging to you. I've fucked your mother.
So, next time you're about to express your worthless opinions in public, simply remember: You're a fucking idiot and I've fucked your mother.
Thanks for your attention, you may now return to whatever you're doing.
